It is near the time of Easter Sunday where I reflect upon the Resurrection of our Savior and older brother, Jesus Christ. I love the tender interaction between Christ and Mary Magdalene who was the first mortal to have seen the risen Lord (John 20:11-21). She initially mistakes Him for a gardener before she recognizes Him. In a way, Mary was right to mistake Christ as a gardener, because after all, He is the master gardener of all mankind who cultivates and helps us grow and blossom into our full potential.
I believe in a living Christ. I echo the testimony of Thomas S. Monson who shares his testimony and conviction of a living Savior in this video.
Through Christ, we may live again and enjoy the same sociality that exists between our families, friends, and loved ones throughout the eternities, but it will be even better as it is coupled with a type of eternal glory that we do not now enjoy as stated in the scriptures (Doctrine & Covenants 130:1-2). I love that scripture because I have lost dear family members and friends whom I miss dearly, but I know that I will see them again, and we will continue in the fun memories and great times one day. This is all possible through Christ who overcame death. Christ provides the gift of eternal life to everyone.
